Lem is the Director of Operations and Management at Cosmopolitan Dental. She has over 13 years of experience in the dental field. She has worked across both DSOs and private practice settings, where she’s led teams, streamlined operations, and helped practices reach new levels of efficiency and patient satisfaction.
A graduate of Kent State University with a degree in Managerial Marketing and Business Management, Lem is passionate about leadership, team development, and building systems that make dental offices run seamlessly.
Lem enjoys travelling, trying new restaurants and coffee shops. She also loves spending time with friends and family.
Helen has been a dedicated member of Cosmopolitan Dental since its inception in 2006. As the practice administrator, she has taken on a variety of roles within the practice over the years, beginning at the front desk and now serving as the billing and insurance administrator. Her extensive experience and commitment to excellence help ensure that the office operates smoothly and efficiently behind the scenes.
Helen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hunter College and holds a certification in Organizational and Developmental Leadership from NYU. This background provides her with the tools to effectively manage the intricacies of both office operations and team dynamics, contributing to a positive and supportive environment for patients and staff alike.
Prior to her work in the dental field, Helen worked as a makeup artist, a role that reflects her attention to detail and creative energy. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her beautiful baby boy, and exploring her love of food through cooking shows and discovering new restaurants.
Ms. Whalen joined the Cosmopolitan Dental team in 2012 as a hygienist and primary preventative health care provider. She is a graduate from the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry and is a registered New York State Hygienist. Colleen is committed to providing the best possible dental care to all of our patients through educating them about their oral health as well as aiding them in achieving their premium level of overall oral health. Creating a happy and dazzling smile through preventative care and soft tissue management is her ultimate goal. Colleen has been involved in the dental field for over six years now. Her passion for working in the dental field shows through her personable demeanor, dedication and meticulous work ethic. When not working in the dental office, Colleen enjoys baking and working out during her free time.
Dorrie is a graduate of the renowned New York University College Of Dentistry. She graduated with Honors with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene and a concentration in Education. Throughout her undergraduate studies at NYU, Dorrie worked as a part-time dental assistant and as a gymnastics instructor! She became fascinated with dentistry at a very young age and has aspirations to one day teach dental hygiene. As part of the Cosmopolitan Dental hygiene and preventative dental team, Dorrie is committed to providing the best possible dental care to all of our patients through education and providing a premium level of overall oral health. When she isn't working, Dorrie embraces her creative side with DIY crafts, cake decorating, and photography. She is also collaborating with her older sister writing a children’s book series.
Jessica is a graduate of The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Health Related Professions (now Rutgers.) Her dental career started early with the dental program at Tottenville HS. She immediately developed a passion for the dental field. She worked as a dental assistant while attending college and in 2010 her dental hygiene career began. Patient care if her biggest priority, helping people to feel good about their smiles and themselves. Teaching people about oral and systemic health is of utmost importance to her. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her Labrador Retriever mix. She also enjoys traveling, the beach and decorating her home.
Prisila Bisono has been working in the dental field for over 15 years. She began her career as a dental assistant and decided to further her education to became a Dental Hygienist by applying to the Fones School of Dental Hygiene, which was the first dental hygiene school in the world! Prisila received her Bachelor Degree in Dental Hygiene with a focus on public health. Her passion for public health has given her the opportunity to involve herself in public health programs and volunteer her time to free dental clinics such as Mission of Mercy. She loves spending time with her patients, providing them with the best dental care and educating them how to maintain good oral health. In her spare time, Prisila enjoys decorating homes and traveling.
Danarose is a graduate of the Dental Assisting Program at St. Pauls School in Staten Island and is a licensed Dental Assistant in the state of New York. Through her dedication, knowledge and compassion, she is always able to make patients feel at ease and comfortable during their appointments. On her spare time, Danarose likes to shop, go to dinner with her friends and spend her summer weekend in Long Beach Island soaking up the sun with her family. She is thrilled to be part of the Cosmopolitan Dental Team!
Melissa Almodovar joined the Cosmopolitan Dental team as a Dental Assistant in February 2018. She attended Guttmann Community College where she was enrolled in the Liberal Arts program before making her transition to the dental field as a dental assistant. Melissa’s warm and friendly demeanor is a valuable asset to the practice, making patients feel at ease while receiving exceptional dental care. In her free time, Melissa enjoys traveling, weekend getaways and road trips, and spending time with friends and family.
